Getting to VICTORIA

How will you get to Victoria, British Columbia?

Victoria is located on the southernmost tip of Vancouver Island. The island is surrounded by water on all sides. There is no bridge to get you here. It is a 1.5 hour ferry ride term Twassen terminal to Swartz Bay terminal via the BC Ferries. By helicopter, it will take 25 minutes one way from downtown Vancouver to downtown Victoria. Airplane will also take 25 minutes from downtown to downtown. A BC Ferry is the only way to get here from Vancouver by motor vehicle.

It is also possible to arrive from Port Angeles, or anywhere in the world using the International airport.

SEA TRAVEL

Ferry service from the mainland (Tsawwassen) to Vancouver Island (Swartz Bay). Transport for passengers, bicycles, cars, trucks, RV's and buses. Ferries leave from the Tsawwassen terminal, 45 minutes from downtown Vancouver and arrive at Swartz Bay, 45 minutes from downtown Victoria. Parking and bus transportation is available at both terminals. Summer months on the hour - 7:00 am - 10:00 pm Winter months odd hours - 7:00 am - 9:00 pm.

Voyage is 2-3 hours depending on weather. Seattle's Pier 69 to Victoria's Inner Harbour.

Port Angeles to Victoria. A vehicle and passenger ferry service operated by Blackball Transport. The crossing time is 95 minutes. Two sailings daily from Victoria and Port Angeles.

Victoria International Airport - YYJ

Several airlines operate daily connector flights to and from Victoria. This airport is approximately 10 miles north of the City Center so prepare for a $35 - $40 taxi fare. The Airport Shuttle Bus provides daily half hour service between Victoria hotels and the airport. This service starts at 4:00 a.m. and continues until midnight daily. It is provided to all incoming and outgoing flights. The regular fare is $13.00 per person; the group rate is $8.00 per person. Limousine service is also available.
