Emergency Services

Tourist Alert is an emergency service administered by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The names of visitors who have urgent messages waiting for them are posted in Visitor Info Centers and other transit points. If you see or hear your name listed in newspapers, info centers, on the radio or TV, call the nearest RCMP office for details.

Telus Corporation is one of Canada's largest telecommunications companies. They manage, own and operate the services for public pay phones in Victoria.

They accept "Calling Cards" and Canadian coins. A local call costs 25 cents. Operator assistance and forward billing is available.
