This is one of the most popular touring routes in Victoria. The Scenic Marine Drive follows the coastline from downtown Victoria. Begin at the Ogden Point Breakwater on Dallas Road at Dock Street.
Stroll out along the breakwater after lunch at the Ogden Point café.
Continue to Dallas Road and Douglas Street which meet at the southwest corner of Beacon Hill Park and the "Checkerboard Lookout". This is where you will find Mile 0 which signifies the beginning of the Trans-Canada highway on Vancouver Island.
Proceed east along Dallas Road and see historical landmarks such as Steve Fonyo Beach, Marylin Bell Commemorative, Clover Point, Ross Bay Cemetery, and the Chinese Cemetery
Dallas Road turns into Beach Drive. Your next landmark will be the Royal Victoria Golf Club which has the most spectacular views of any golf course in Victoria.
Next stop is the Oak Bay Marina. Have lunch on the patio in the cafe or dining room; then tour the gift shops on shore and the moored yachts in the harbour.
